CVRG connects NIH to CILogon

April 20, 2012

Through efforts coordinated by the CVRG’s Program Manager, Stephen Granite, members of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) can now sign-in to CILogon. CILogon is an NSF CyberInfrastructure project that enables researchers to authenticate at their home organization via the InCommon federation.

This month's talk will be given by Lucila Ohno-Machado, MD, Ph.D., of UC San Diego and Dallas Thornton of the San Diego Supercomputer Center. The title of their talk will be 'Building a Private Cloud to Handle Big (and Sensitive) Data'.

Tonellato, Ph.D., of Harvard Medical School and The Zilber School of Public Health, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. The title of his talk will be 'Bioinformatics Essentials for a Personalized Genomic Medicine Era'.
