CVRG Project renewed by NHLBI

March 18, 2011

As of March 7, the CardioVascular Research Grid Project has been renewed by the NHLBI. In this renewal, the CVRG team has been expanded to include investigators at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Image Lab and the University of Chicago/Argonne National Laboratory’s Computation Institute.

April 2011 CVRG Webinar Announced

The CVRG will be hosting a Webex webinar on April 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm EDT.  The title of the talk is ‘Creating and Sharing Re-usable Workflows in Cardiovascular Research: Lessons learned using Taverna’.

University of Chicago to host GlobusWORLD 2011

University of Chicago/Argonne National Laboratory’s Computation Institute will be hosting GlobusWORLD 2011, a conference providing updates on Globus Toolkit development, including software-as-a-service capabilities for distributed computation and application of these tools by the user community.

CVRG and Pediatric Heart Network Collaborate on Imaging Transfer/Analysis Workflow

Starting 3/1/2011, the Wake Forest University (WFU) and Johns Hopkins University (JHU) teams of the CVRG began working with Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) on behalf of the Pediatric Heart Network (PHN) to develop and deploy an echocardiography imaging workflow.
