High Resolution Mouse Hearts

Instructions for downloading the high spatial resolution mouse heart datasets are given below. Because of the large size of these datasets, we use the high-speed multi-threaded data transfer capabilities of the Globus Online web service to support downloads. Instructions for using Globus Online are given below.

How to Obtain High Spatial Resolution Mouse Heart Data Sets

  1. Create a globus account (https://www.globus.org/SignIn#step=signup), if you don't already have one.
    1. Look for a confirmation email and click to validate your email address.
  2. Sign into your account.
  3. Click 'Manage Identities' under your account name in the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  4. Click the 'Add Linked Identity' link to associate your InCommon (e.g., Johns Hopkins) and/or Google account with your Globus account.
    1. This allows for Single Sign On in the future, using your InCommon and/or Google credentials instead of your Globus account.
  5. Click ‘Transfer Files under 'Manage Data’ (top of page).
  6. Click the ‘Get Globus Connect Personal’ link.
  7. A screen will pop-up where you enter a name for your computer (e.g., my_laptop) and click a button to generate a public key identity (PKI) for your computer.
  8. Then you install Globus Connect Personal on your respective OS by clicking the respective button.
  9. During the install you will be prompted for the setup key that you generated.
  10. Once you’ve installed the local client, you can return to the ‘Transfer Files’ screen.
  11. In either of endpoint fields, enter the following: cvrgglobusproc#cvrgdatasets.
  12. The listing you will see represents all the cvrgdatasets that are publicly available.
  13. In the other endpoint field, search for your globus personal installation (e.g., myuserid#my_laptop).
  14. You can then browse for files in the CVRG datasets, select them and click the arrow button to transfer them to a location on your computer.
