December 2011 CVRG Webinar Announced

The CVRG December webinar will be hosted on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 1:00 pm EST. This month's talk will be given by Stephen Granite, MS, MBA, of Johns Hopkins University. The title of his talk will be 'Providing the cardiovascular community with rich web interfaces to integrate cardiovascular tools, data and analysis'.

New CVRG Website, Portal & Datasets are live!

The CardioVascular Research Grid announced today the launch of a new website, portal and collection of cardiovascular datasets. The portal features cloud implementations of XNAT, ECGrid Toolkit and Galaxy. A human ExVivo heart data set and canine ExVivo normal and failing heart data sets are now available. 

CVRG Will Host the Cardiac Electrophysiology Data Repository

The CVRG is collaborating with a team of investigators to develop a minium information reporting standard for describing cardiac electrophysiological experiments. A manuscript describing the first draft of this standard can be found here.

The title of the talk is 'Automated Extraction of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Findings from Clinical Reports: The Promise, the Challenges, and Ideas for the Future'.

CCBM & CVRG to collaborate with MICEE project

As of August 22, the JHU Center for Cardiovascular Bioinformatics and Modeling received funding to develop a resource for storing and sharing cardiac electrophysiological experiment protocols and results. Examples of these experiments include patch clamp, voltage clamp, and fluorescence imaging.
