The goals of this workshop include educating researchers about existing image repository resources, highlight areas of research for more effective sharing and secondary use of medical image data, and illustrate potential applications built in conjunction with medical image repositories.
Topics of interest for the workshop include but are not limited to the following:
- Software architectures for image repositories
- Data integration
- Image-oriented ontologies
- Image annotation schema
- Algorithm validation with repositories
- Image retrieval
