This workshop will bring together statisticians and researchers who analyze biomedical data for scientific discoveries and data privacy researchers who develop methods towards establishing a secure, privacy-preserving environment in which researchers can analyze and share information.
This workshop aims at bridging the gap and for cross-fertilization between the two communities, i.e., ideas, problems, techniques, and results. Regarding the structure, the iDASH’12 privacy workshop will include an invited talk, a set of contributed talks and panel discussions, and free time for interaction, thus allowing for further transfer of ideas between the two communities.
***This workshop is co-located with the 2nd annual IEEE International Conference on Healthcare informatics, Imaging and Systems Biology (HISB'12) http://www.ittc.ku.edu/HISB12, and two parallel iDASH workshops for NLP and Imaging.
