Title: “Cardiovascular Imaging Informatics Platform - Prototype for CVRG Deployment."
View: (Archived Webinar Recording)

Abstract:
Cardiovascular imaging (CVI) research requires quantitative, spatio-temporal imaging of the structure and function of the heart and vascular system. CVI research studies typically acquire complex sets of images typically from thousands of subjects located at multiple research centers and geographic regions.

Researchers need improved tools to manage acquisition of studies, archive, analysis, workflow, quality control, and result reporting. We are addressing these needs through developing a cardiovascular imaging informatics platform based on the XNAT platform specifically for cardiovascular imaging focusing initially on the modalities of echocardiography, MRI and CT. We will demonstrate capabilities in the prototype system and discuss the upcoming alpha release.  We will discuss future plans including deploying a set of confirmed health normal older adults well characterized by cardiacimaging (MRI, CT & Echo) and additional clinical variables of interest to the research community.
